Aviogenex (Belgrade) has been forced into bankruptcy and liquidation according to EX-YU Aviation News. The Serbian charter airline was forced into the bankruptcy process by the Serbian government. The struggling carrier was down to just one non-descript Boeing 737-200 (above).
Aviogenex started operations on May 1, 1968.
GT Overseas, one of the bidders for the airline, criticized the bankruptcy action by the government, stating they had made a valid proposal last year to buy the carrier according to the report.
